The 39th edition of Macfest has kicked off and once again reminded us what it means to successfully survive for almost four decades.
The audience had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful Macedonian music as befits such a renowned festival, and the one and only Vera Jankovic, who was its patron for 14 years, had the honor of opening it.
Jankovic, who has been working as a DJ and host for decades, wore a unique creation by ELENA LUKA for this special occasion.
Vera looked magnificent in a black gown made of latex, tulle, and black feathers, and she wore a glove on only one hand.
She played up the styling as befits her sensibility with two ribbons on her head, which bore the signature of ELENA LUKA, and she wore the same ribbons on her red high heels.
With immense enthusiasm, he performed three famous choruses from previous years' winning songs at Macfest, thus announcing the first night where debutants participated.
For me, Macfest means a lot, the world does not know us because of Macfest, it was and will be the epicenter of musical events in our country. Many of you do not know, but in 1997, in Cannes, Macfest was declared the festival of the year. Those unforgettable winning choruses from the festival are the definition of what kind of songs should be produced and what we should leave for future generations. I am happy that despite all the upheavals, we have something that lasts for 39 years.
