Golden premiere for 30 years of "Before the Rain"

"Before the Rain", the Macedonian world-renowned classic by Milcho Manchevski, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a gala golden premiere of a restored copy.

This event, on December 9th, at 8:00 PM at the Philharmonic Hall, marks 30 years since Macedonia's greatest success – not only in culture, but in general. This is the first and so far only time a Macedonian work has won at the world's most important competition.

The golden premiere will be attended by the author Manchevski and part of the domestic and foreign crew of the film, including actor Rade Serbedzija, production designer and Oscar winner David Mance, editor Nicholas Gaster, director of photography Manuel Teran, composer Zlatko Origjanski, actors Petar Mirchevski, Katerina Kocevska, Silvija Stojanovska and Suzana Kirandziska, and with a video message Simon Perry, the former director of "British Screen" and the one most responsible for the opportunity to shoot "Before the Rain". The Italian co-producer of "Goodbye, Copacabana", Manchevski's new film, is also coming from Rome especially for the premiere.

In order to make this festive event accessible to all film lovers, a limited number of free tickets will be available at the Philharmonic box office.
