How was the steel tempered?

I know many steely women. Steely women, it seems they can move the world. Women who have been torn apart by storms, by rain, and by the sun after the rain. Women with wrinkles around their eyes because when they laugh, they laugh with wrinkles, their hearts laugh. Women with clear eyes, piercing, washed by tears, melted in some deaf age, without anyone remembering them, eyes that you trust because those eyes cannot lie. Women, perhaps seemingly quite ordinary, but without them worlds collapse because they are the pivot, because they are the foundation, because they are the strength.

I know many women with scars. Never in the field, scars hidden, but deep enough to remind them how much they are alive every time life brings them a new storm. Women who have been through "the sieve and the sieve", but have never lost it - with such a precious smile. When such a woman smiles at you, you will feel it around your heart. It will warm you. Those precious smiles are not to be wasted, but they are given selflessly.

I know many brave women. The more times life has "fallen" them, the more they have come back braver. Along the way, they have gathered so much strength to stand up to the world on their own, standing tall in the face of all challenges and injustices, worthy, magnificent, confident that they can, know, and want. Because they really can, know, and want.

I know some such women, who speak quietly, but their voice is so penetrating and powerful – it breaks down walls and connects islands. They speak intelligent truths, they raise awareness, they encourage, they lead. Fragile and fragile women, made of flesh and blood, but beastly women who create oases from deserts and carry their lamp of light, purity, and insight in all darknesses – they shine with their sincerity, naturalness, as they truly are – their own.

Women of steel. You look at her in the mirror every day. Smile at her, she needs encouragement from time to time, to remind her of her worth and how much the world and herself need her. Because you are the one who can do that the most.

To all my steely women, both known and unknown...
