Yutori – an ancient Japanese technique for finding happiness

The search for happiness and balance in life is what we strive for every day.

But in these stressful and fast-paced times, it is not so easy to find the balance we need for harmonious functioning.

Ancient peoples and cultures had their own ways of dealing with life's problems, and one such philosophy comes to us from Japan.

It's about an ancient skill called Yutori, which teaches us to slow down a bit and find pleasure in the moment.

Yutori can be translated as the space we create for ourselves in our time, thoughts, and daily activities.

A break so we can enjoy the moment without thinking about the goal.

Yutori reminds us that we need to create space, that is, reserve time and energy for some unforeseen situations.

When we are maximally present in what we do, then we can truly feel the blessing of small things.

This skill is also associated with the minimalist approach to life - the less, the better.

Yutori also teaches us that life is not a race, but a journey in which it is important to enjoy every step, no matter how difficult it is.
