Rumors of the "death" of the tie are untrue, judging by the street style in Copenhagen. This timeless fashion accessory is back in the spotlight when it comes to women's fashion. The return of the tie as a trend can also be seen in Saint Laurent's spring-summer 2025 collection, where Bella Hadid and other models walked the runway in power suits, buttoned shirts and, of course, elegant, business ties.
Among those embracing the trend is Vogue Scandinavia editor Alison Schiffman, who paired her father's tie with a classic white shirt, navy V-neck sweater, jeans and a bomber jacket on the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week. "I think it looks cool. You feel empowered when you wear the tie," she says.
While some wear the tie as part of a complete, formal look (like Hailey Bieber did with her YSL styling in October), others pair it with a leather trench or bomber jacket for a fresher, more relaxed look.
This fashion accessory can be worn both day and night – fashion journalist Sophia Lee, who also wore her father's cowl in Copenhagen, reveals that she likes to pair it with a white shirt and black cowl, over which she wears an elegant evening dress.
The best thing about this trend is that you don't have to buy anything new – surely some man in your life has a cow in the back of his closet that you can borrow.
