Tomorrow premiere of the play "The Addams Family" at the Drama Theater Skopje

"The Addams Family" is the new premiere that will be performed on Wednesday, December 25th at 8:00 PM on the "Risto Stefanovski" stage at the Skopje Drama Theater. Director Tea Begovska is also the author of the text and adaptation for the play.

"The Addams Family is the "normal" in the abnormal. It's as if the world has turned into one big Addams Family, accepting and living with every social abnormality as normal." These recognizable and eccentric characters with dark humor, located in the so-called Tomb of the World (where their ancestors are buried) – “dance” in THEIR normality, in THEIR values for life and death. This dark home of the Addams Family is a sanctuary where death is celebrated, but also love – the secret ingredient that keeps the Addams dynasty alive. A sanctuary where even the normal become abnormal in their own way."- emphasizes director Begovska.

The artistic team that worked on "The Addams Family" includes set designer Nikola Pijanmanov, costume designers Ratka Dzambazovska Kocev and Rade Vasilev, and the music is by Enes Begovski. The choreography was done by Bojan Lazarov.

The characters in the play are played by the actors of the Drama Theater Skopje: GOMEZ ADAMS – Predrag Pavlovski, MORTICHA ADAMS – Trajanka Ilieva Veljić, GRANDMOTHER – Gordana Endrovska, WEDNESDAY ADAMS – Nina Elzeser, FESTER ADAMS – Sašo Tasevski, PUZZLE ADAMS – Tomislav Davidovski, LUCAS, Wednesday's boyfriend – Marjan Naumov, DEBBY, Fester's ex-love – Emilija Micevska, Lucas' FATHER – Zlatko Mitreski and Lucas' MOTHER – Maja Veljković Panovska.

The characters of GHOSTS in the play "The Addams Family" are played by students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Faculty of Theater Arts at the International University Europa Prima: Jovana Miladinova, Ema Lazarova, Luna Micević, Stefan Arsić, Kristijan Petkovski, Enis Bilalović, Anastasija Mitrovska and Martin Maznev.

The Drama Theater informs the audience that the play uses pyrotechnics and emphasized sound effects.

The play "The Addams Family" will be in the theater's regular repertoire and the first performance will be on December 27th at 8 p.m.
