This year's edition of the "Sound of Skopje" festival begins on September 27th.

This year's edition of the "Sound of Skopje" festival begins on September 27 (Friday). Unlike previous years, the location has changed slightly, and the festival will be held in Coolpark (in front of the KIC), while the film program and exhibitions will be held in Salon 19:19 and the KIC galleries.

The flagship event of the Cultural Information Center – Skopje “The Sound of Skopje” (until a few years ago known as “The Sounds of the Bazaar”), will once again take place this year in the format of an open-air summer festival featuring fresh and current musical names. The musical program will feature this year’s winner of the UpBeat – Best New Talent Award – ZARINA PRVASEVDA and the world music project KALEVALA (DIES BONA). The visual part of the program consists of three exhibitions throughout the galleries of the KIC and a film screening.

"The Sound of Skopje" means a new, summer, open air festival, which is growing into a new Skopje music hotspot. "The Sound of Skopje" means a breath of fresh air in the long Skopje summer and satisfying the cultural needs of the Skopje scene, with contemporary musical events and a diverse cultural offer. "The Sound of Skopje" is also a space where both established and new groups can be seen on a big stage, and it also means promoting new concert locations in the city, bringing them to life in a cultural context.
