Paris witnessed an iconic fashion moment when Haider Ackermann presented his first collection as creative director of Tom Ford. The highly anticipated show drew an elite crowd eager to see how Ackermann would reinterpret the brand's signature aesthetic.
From a mystical, misty backdrop emerged the first looks – low-cut leather pants, asymmetrical jackets, and futuristic sunglasses that set the pace of the show.
The palette stayed true to the brand's DNA with a dominant black and white aesthetic, while the makeup brought a splash of color with bold eyeshadows and striking lips.
But Ackerman didn't just stop at nostalgia. He also brought in Ford's famous glamour – high-slit dresses in golden yellow and turquoise, neon suits and a spectacular purple fringed dress that was bursting with disco energy.
The powerful lineup of models – Alex Consani, Vittoria Ceretti and Ford's longtime muse Karen Elson – solidified Ackerman's visionary signature.
When the show ended with Nick Cave's powerful tones, Tom Ford was the first to rise to a standing ovation, fulfilling his own statement from September: "I'm ready to be the first to applaud after the show in March."
With this collection, Haider Ackermann not only justified Tom Ford's trust – he led the brand into an exciting new era.
