Us, our thoughts, and our outfit

How do we think? How do we think during the day? What thoughts drive our existence, and which ones define it with their past? We tried to find answers to these questions as we walked through the fashion events on the fourth day of Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 25-26. Visiting numerous presentations and shows with its strong dynamics begins to exhaust us, but still manages to carry us and move our thoughts…

For such a journey, we needed intriguing styling, with pieces that, like thoughts, each tell their own story, but put together mean an intrigue that makes us think. In the center of attention is the unusual corset from the brand ELENA LUKA, shaped with flowing hips, with a snake print and details of silver buttons that are carefully located, and each element that describes it is composed with a separate piece. The silver pants are in duet with the buttons, the paired snake print of the geometric bag plays graphically with romance, the feather detail on the shoes complements the playful shape, and the knitted bag is intertwined with the lace in the same tone. The coat from the brand "ELENA LUKA" made of neoprene, through its characteristics of material, shade and shape, embraces all the elements in one complete story.

Sometimes we think about practicality. So we'll drink our morning coffee at a brand presentation. Eleventy, which for the new fall/winter 2025-26 collection focuses on the concept of "quiet luxury", sophisticated, precious and contemporary, designed for a clientele that is attentive to the quality and tailoring of Made in Italy.

Sometimes we think about hard work, but through play. So we'll play around with the brand Moschino, where for the fall/winter 25/26 collection "Tools of the Trade" Adrian Apiolaza turned the deconstruction of clothing into a process of re-creation, taking denim for workwear but exaggerating it in the typical expression of the house, and redirecting the value beyond the confines of fashion.

Sometimes we think about inherited values and memories. So we will walk through the private presentation of the brand's collection. Alberta Ferretti, dedicated to Franca Sozzani's iconic hair, so in the long flowing dresses we will see her opulence, and in the cornrows her curls.

Then we start thinking about the archive. So we will try to redefine the classics of the brand. Pollini with the "Redefining Classics" collection, we will find a new comfortable yet sensual version of the Cavaliere boot, and the new 70s will mean a seductive silhouette.

So sometimes we think about eternity. So we will return back to ourselves with the "Back to Myself" collection. Giuseppe Zanotti, where we will remain faithful to the familiar but also respect the need to delve into the essence of things, and with the new chunky heel with the still recognizable line, we will introduce new intrigue.

But sometimes, and increasingly often, we think about humanoidity, about humanity and vulnerability, about the duality of existence and the rise of new technologies. So we will be shocked by the robot Ameka, which is the center of the show for the collection of Giuseppe di Morabito, which titled "Alone in the Stars" reaches for the buried emotions that lie beneath the surface through introspection.

And then we're left alone with our thoughts, and we manage to think a little about ourselves through our outfits.
