ELENA LUKA is back on a humanitarian mission. This time, the renowned brand is helping to finance the participation of dancers Ilina and Stefan at the Special Winter Olympics, which will be held in Turin, Italy from March 8-15. ELENA LUKA will provide our representatives at the world's largest sporting and humanitarian event with a specially created outfit that will further highlight their talent.
"We are proud that as a brand with a strong sense of social responsibility, we can support Ilina and Stefan in their mission. The Special Olympics is definitely more than a sporting event, it is a symbol of inclusion, dedication and courage. With this gesture we want to highlight our faith in their talent and enable them to shine on the world stage in creations with the signature of ELENA LUKA." - say the ELENA LUKA team.
Ilina Georgieva, 23, and Stefan Trpkovski, 27, will compete in the Special Olympics Dancesport category, which is being introduced to the world competition for the first time. The event will feature more than 1,500 athletes from 103 delegations competing in 8 sports, with the aim of providing an international demonstration of inclusion, acceptance and unity.
Our representatives are preparing dedicatedly at the Eureka dance studio, where they say that the collaboration between the ELENA LUKA fashion house, the Eureka dance studio and the Special Olympics, has a special meaning. They create synergy between sports, art and fashion, and support children in their goal of being visible and accepted as equal members of society.
"The Eureka Dance Studio provides professional training for children with special needs and creates a space for expressing their talent through the art of dance. This studio helps them develop their potential, learn discipline and teamwork, and at the same time teaches them to overcome the barriers that may arise. The collaboration with the ELENA LUKA fashion house strengthens this relationship and enriches the project. The fashion house, with its support, helps finance the participation of the dancers in the Special Olympics, and increases the prestige of the studio, presenting it as a center for inclusivity and positive development. From this collaboration, the children receive training and support in dance, as well as the opportunity to express themselves through clothing and style, which further motivates them to feel special and confident." - says Katerina Jolakoska - artistic director of the Eureka Dance Studio.
This year, the Macedonian representatives at the Special Olympics in Turin will try once again to successfully represent our country in alpine skiing, cross country and dance sports. The success of our athletes is a motivation for all people with atypical development to show that equality and sport for all should be promoted in local communities.
Special Olympics Macedonia promotes inclusive sports activities, creates values of courage, strength and resilience by actively involving people with intellectual disabilities in individual and team sports, creating opportunities for all.
