Milan Fashion Week kicked off in the style of the "House of Gucci"

Milan Fashion Week kicked off with a show to remember – Gucci opened the program on February 25 with a collection that looked like it was straight out of a biographical drama. House of Gucci (2021).

The first look was a true homage to Patricia Reggiani's character, played by Lady Gaga: massive faux fur, a plunging purple lace bodysuit, a wool pencil skirt, and oversized aviator glasses with a "geek-chic" vibe.

This was the first collection created by Gucci's design studio since former creative director Sabato De Sarno left this month.

Rather than forging a new direction, the brand turned to its heritage, drawing inspiration from the Italian house's archives and early ready-to-wear collections. The Fall 2025 collection is a true homage to Gucci's founder and his vision of luxury.

In addition to Gucci's dazzling show, Milan this season also brings exciting changes: DSquared2 celebrates its 30th anniversary with an exclusive show, Fendi begins a year-long celebration of its 100th birthday, and Lorenzo Serafini's new debut for Alberta Ferretti is also attracting a lot of attention.

At the center of the discussions is the future of Diesel, whose creative director Glenn Martens was recently appointed as a leading figure at Maison Margiela.

Milan Fashion Week is in full swing, and the FashionEL team is here to bring you firsthand all the most important moments from this iconic fashion event.
