The lavish ballet performance "The Lady of the Camellias" on March 7 at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre

The impressive ballet performance "La Dame aux Camélias" will be performed on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet on March 7, starting at 8:00 PM. This dramatic and sumptuous performance is based on the music of Giuseppe Verdi, and the dramaturgical basis is taken from his popular "La Traviata".

The performance will be conducted by the guest from Armenia, Eduard Ambartsumyan, the choreography is by one of the leading Russian choreographers Vasily Medvedev, who works with the great Bolshoi Theaters from Moscow and Mariinsky Theater from St. Petersburg. The lavish scenography and costumes are by Pavol Juras from Slovakia, and the concertmaster is Verica Lambevska.

"It is not the first time that the sad story in "The Lady of the Camellias" has inspired choreographers. Together with the costume and set designer, Pavol Juras, I wanted to make the performance classic, traditional, but also our own original, different from the others," says Vasiliy Medvedev, choreographer.

The main roles of Margarita and Armand will be performed by: Marija Kichevska Shokarovska, Francisco Jimenez Ruiz (Spain) together with the soloists, the ballet ensemble and the orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet.
