Jacquemus brings the glamour of 50s Hollywood with the new La Croisière collection

Simon Porte Jacquemus returned to Paris Fashion Week with a collection that blends the past and the present.

This time he found his inspiration in the 50s or the golden age of Hollywood, when Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly were the queens of style.

The collection, called La Croisière or The Cruise, was shown to just 40 guests in an intimate setting, a private apartment, uncharacteristic of Jacquemus.

Although he is known for his extravagant shows, for this collection the designer decided to be closer to the essence of fashion, that is, to show much more without pomp.

In this way, Jacquemus created a perfect symbiosis of luxury and simplicity, imbued with his distinctive aesthetics.

The improvised runway was a gathering of some of the most famous supermodels like Christy Turlington, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk...

Attendees were able to see, among other things, hourglass-shaped dresses and balloon skirts, and in terms of colors, black and white dominated, with a small dose of red.

Polka dots and stripes were also present, complemented by handbags and discreet jewelry, and among the guests were Pamela Anderson and Carla Bruni.
