Golden spinach pie – without dough, with an incredible taste

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs

  • 200 g frozen spinach
  • 200 g cottage cheese (or fresh cheese)
  • 50 g parmesan
  • 100 g roasted red peppers from a jar

 

Method of preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking pan.
  2. Place the frozen spinach in a colander and thaw it with warm water. If necessary, use a microwave for faster defrosting. Drain it completely, pressing it with your hands to remove excess liquid.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Add oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then mix well.
  4. Add the cottage cheese and continue mixing until it is combined with the eggs.
  5. Add the drained spinach, grated Parmesan, and finely chopped roasted peppers. Mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and level it.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the savory pie is golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before cutting and serving.
