"Before the Rain", the world-renowned Macedonian classic by Milco Mancevski, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a gala golden premiere of a restored copy.
This event, on December 9, at 8 p.m. in the Philharmonic, marks 30 years of Macedonia's greatest success - not only in culture, but in general. This is the first and so far the only time that a Macedonian work has won on the most important world stage.
The golden premiere will be attended by author Mancevski and part of the film's domestic and foreign crew, including actor Rade Sherbedzija, production designer and Oscar-winner David Manns, editor Nicolas Gaster, director of photography Manuel Teran, composer Zlatko Oridjanski, actors Petar Mircevski, Katerina Kocevska, Silvija Stojanovska and Susana Kirandziska, and Simon with a video message Perry, the former director of British Screen and most responsible for making Before the Rain possible. The Italian co-producer of "Goodbye, Copacabano", Mančevski's new film, is coming from Rome especially for the premiere.
In order to make this festive event accessible to all film lovers, a limited number of free tickets will be available at the Philharmonic box office.
