Gucci's creative director is leaving the fashion house after less than two years at the helm.
Sabato De Sarno's departure comes as the latest in a series of shocking changes at major fashion houses such as Dior, Loewe, and Maison Margiela.
Following his departure, Stefano Cantino, CEO of Gucci, expressed his great gratitude for Sabato's passion and loyalty to the brand.
The Italian designer known for his minimalist approach took over the role of creative director in 2023 from Alessandro Michele. De Santo, 42, previously worked as design director at Valentino.
It is not yet known who could succeed Sabato, and the brand says that the fall/winter 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week will be presented by Gucci's design studio.
