Armani celebrated 20 years of haute couture with a spectacular show in Paris

Giorgio Armani marked a significant anniversary in fashion history, celebrating 20 years of Armani Privé, his haute couture line, with a stunning show in Paris. The spring/summer 2025 collection, aptly titled “Lumières,” was a dazzling fusion of Southeast Asian influences and 1920s glamour, with sheer organza dresses, intricate embellishments, and lavish crystal and pearl detailing.

In this historic fashion moment, the legendary designer, now 90, closed the show hand in hand with a model, receiving a standing ovation from the audience, which included Demi Moore, Jessica Biel and Coralie Farge.

For the first time, Armani's haute couture show was held in the historic Palazzo Armani, a testament to the fashion house's dedication to luxury and the craftsmanship of shimmering embroidered dresses that sparkled against the richly decorated marble walls.

“These twenty years at Privé have been a liberating journey,” Armani said. “Haute couture has allowed me to explore a different aspect of my style – freer, more glamorous – but still distinctively Armani.”

The anniversary collection paid homage to the history of the fashion house, drawing inspiration from previous collections that redefined haute couture. Since its debut in 2005, Armani Privé continues to combine the precision of tailoring with the imagination of haute couture, creating inimitable designs.

While rumors of his retirement swirl, Armani remains committed to design. With two decades of fashion genius behind him, Armani's vision of timeless elegance continues to shine even brighter.
